RYCOR Landscapes on The Block 2023

Before becoming RYCOR Landscapes, our team appeared on The Block 2023 as Eastend Landscapes, working with Eliza and Liberty to deliver the outdoor spaces of House 5 in Hampton East.

Taking on the landscape during the demanding final stages of The Block, Ryan and the team worked within tight timeframes and site constraints to bring the sisters’ backyard and outdoor areas to life.

Bringing House 5 Outdoors

With just 160 square metres to work with, House 5 had the smallest backyard of the five properties, requiring a considered approach to maximise the available space.

The finished backyard brought together a plunge pool, outdoor entertaining and BBQ area, pizza oven, fire pit and custom garden seating, creating multiple opportunities for entertaining and relaxed outdoor living within a compact footprint.

RYCOR — then Eastend Landscapes — worked alongside Eliza, Liberty and their wider construction team to deliver the landscape within the fast-paced environment of Backyard and Pool Week.

Where Our Block Story Began

The Block 2023 marked the beginning of RYCOR’s relationship with the series and provided an opportunity to demonstrate what our team could deliver under the extraordinary time pressures of television construction.

Ryan returned to The Block the following year, with RYCOR taking responsibility for the complete external delivery of Maddy and Charlotte’s House 1 on Phillip Island — the home that ultimately won The Block 2024.

From House 5 in Hampton East to the winning house on Phillip Island, these projects form an important part of RYCOR’s story and our experience delivering complex residential landscapes under demanding construction conditions.
