RYCOR Landscapes at MIFGS 2025

RYCOR Landscapes was proud to help bring Paul Pritchard’s Nostalgia show garden to life at the 2025 Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show.

Working within the demanding timeframe and exacting construction standards of MIFGS, RYCOR contributed to the delivery of this highly detailed show garden, a project that went on to receive a Gold Medal and the prestigious Mark Bence Construction Award for Best Construction.

Bringing Nostalgia to Life

Designed by Paul Pritchard Landscape Design, Nostalgia celebrated the Australian suburban gardens of the 1960s and 70s, capturing an era when the front garden was a place of pride, connection and everyday family life.

The garden brought together vibrant planting, lawn, architectural elements and carefully selected vintage details to create a landscape that felt both familiar and considered. More than simply recreating an era, the design explored the powerful connection between gardens and memory.

Created in support of Dementia Australia, Nostalgia was inspired by Paul’s personal experience of Alzheimer’s disease within his family, giving the garden a particularly meaningful story beyond its design.

Delivering an Award-Winning Show Garden

Building at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show presents a unique construction challenge. With strict site requirements, a highly compressed build program and every element needing to meet show-level presentation standards, precision and collaboration are essential.

RYCOR worked alongside Paul Pritchard and the wider project team to help translate the Nostalgia concept from design into a finished show garden within the MIFGS construction window.

The result was recognised with a Gold Medal and the Mark Bence Construction Award, celebrating both the strength of Paul’s design and the quality of construction that brought Nostalgia to life.
